IceFree Product for Metal Roofs

Retro-fitting an existing metal roof with heat panels couldn’t be easier with the IceFree Retro-fit’s simple design. New heated panels are placed on top of the existing metal roof.

Colors can be matched to your existing roof. The aluminum alloy panel surrounds the available heat source; the top, bottom and sides are in direct contact with the heat source at all times.

Heating Systems

Commercial Grade-Self Regulating Heat Cable (min. 5 Watt per foot in 100-130 VAC or 208-240 VAC). The IceFree Eave Panel - 8″ requires 2 feet of heat cable per foot of panel. Designed with 11mm or 14mm heat cables.

Electrical Requirements

N.E.C. 426-28 requires 30mA ground fault circuit protection for snow and ice melting applications.

Attention: The IceFree Eave Panels in 8", 12" and 18" are not available in California.

Painted Aluminum Cladding

IceFree Eave Panels are available with a decorative metal cladding that’s both affordable and stylish. The Kynar 500 or Hylar 5000 cladding carries a 30-year warranty.
